Kelly Krapf is a licensed Illinois attorney and legal correspondent for Court TV with a multifaceted career spanning journalism, law, and public service. Prior to her work at Court TV, Kelly Krapf represented the People of the State of Illinois in criminal and civil trials and appellate matters. She has years of experience in media and the law.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Krapf worked in state government as director of communications and assistant budget director under Governor Pat Quinn, and served as chief executive officer of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority. Before entering public service, she worked as an anchor and reporter at television news stations, including FOX 32 Chicago, FOX 6 San Diego, and NBC 3 Las Vegas. She later transitioned into legal practice, serving as an assistant state’s attorney in La Salle and Bureau counties and arguing several cases at the appellate level in Illinois.

Kelly Krapf holds a juris doctor from the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, she completed trial advocacy and became a certified mediator. She completed her undergraduate studies in journalism and political science at Indiana University. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and continues to participate in professional organizations and legal forums.
